Documentary Film Credits

This page lists credits

for all the people

working on the documentary

as they join

our crew.

     Some have more

      spare time than

others,  which is

why some are able

to produce more.

The Design Teams’ primary role in the production
process is to design characters representing the
important staff members during the “golden years”
of UPA, 1943 through the late 50s. These new
characters will be used to illustrate interesting UPA
stories involving UPA artists, sequences that are
usually live action dramatizations. The characters will
not necessarily be true caricatures of the various UPA
artists, but often just rough approximations, simple
and easy to animate characters, in the “UPA Style”.
Already you can see by just the first few model sheets
that they are very different, just like the various
styles of UPA back in those days.

Nothing is set in stone yet, we have just begun this
exciting process, but over the next few months we will
be locking down more of the key characters, as we
begin to secure our animation team. And now that the
first four scenes are starting to emerge, this process
is going to be adding more designers and animators and
characters too. Some of the Design Directors,
Developers and Animators will take on additional jobs,
such as storyboards, layout, backgrounds, and other
design and story priorities. And the Screen Credits
 will reflect this.Model_Sheets.htmlshapeimage_6_link_0

    Backers. Backer’s of
$500 or more will be listed
in the film credits, and all
    Backers will be listed in

    as the documentary.Doc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlDoc_Backers.htmlshapeimage_7_link_0shapeimage_7_link_1shapeimage_7_link_2shapeimage_7_link_3shapeimage_7_link_4shapeimage_7_link_5shapeimage_7_link_6shapeimage_7_link_7shapeimage_7_link_8

Here’s the one of Four

Stage Hands, designed by

Rachael Saunders.

These Stage Hands will take care of

all the necessary moving and changing

of the various elements of the documentary scenes.  This first Stage Hand will be the

driver of the United Produce of America

truck, and open up the side of the truck

to reveal Jules Engel’s interview.

Crew Members Highlights
Our Crew is full of very talented people, it’s impossible to choose the best of the group,
but, periodically we will select one, with the flip of a coin, to highlight in this section,
just to give you an idea of the calibre of folks we have on board our production team.

Fenway is seen above with four of the characters she created for The Boing Heard Round

and Jinkai have a new baby now named, Joy, and if you’ll excuse the pun, it was a joy to
meet them both for Fenway’s honorary appearance at the 2014 Asians on Film event in
North Hollywood, California, the nearest neighbor to me in Burbank. And, you may not
believe this but we had a delicious Chinese meal, featuring Crispy Duck, which was
scrumptious, at none other than a restaurant called ... Joy Feast, really.

Below is our Screen Credits, the names
of the people that will be credited on our final feature film, and they will evolve
and grow as the production develops.

and, here’s how G. Allen came up with the Chuck Jones

character.  A model sheet is now in the works.

Here’s a look at how Fenway Fan and Joanna Davidovich came up with their joint character design assignment of Dave Hilberman and Zack Schwartz.
